The company was started in 1977 by Ronald Gerald Wayne, Stephen G. Wozniak and Steven Paul Jobs. The headquarters of Apple is located in Cupertino, California. Its segments include Asia Pacific, China, Europe, and Americas, both south and north. The products manufactured by apple include iPhone, iMac, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, and Apple Watch and the software made by Apple are iCloud, OS X, WatchOS and iOS. Apple is also known to deliver apps and content through Apple Music, App Store, iTunes and iBooks. All the products are sold by retailers, wholesalers, network carriers and value-added resellers.

As of 2017, Apple has 213,000 employees. The current CEO and director of Apple is Tim Cook. Apple produces a revenue of $229.2 billion. The largest shareholder in Apple is Arthur Levinson. He owns $1.13 million worth of shares. Publicly, Apple acquisitions are around 90, but it is believed that Apple has acquired more companies than that. This is due to the reason that Apple doesn’t disclose such matters to media and public. The philosophy of Apple is to acquire those companies that can be incorporated in its running projects rather than building a whole new project from scratch.
